REAL ESTATE AT THE NORTH POLE: Become Neighbours With Santa

The old saying “location, location, location” applies even to where Santa Claus lives.

Have you wondered how Santa is able to enjoy his privacy, yet ensure that he is able to afford a large enough house for Mrs. Claus, a detached workshop roomy enough for the numerous elves that work so hard to build toys for children, stables (for the reindeer, of course), and a gourmet kitchen to ensure that all of those cookies and hot chocolate are made to keep Santa in “Christmas shape” for the holidays?  Well, if you look at some of the listings in the North Pole (referred to in MLS as Fairbanks, Alaska), it seems that Santa has been smart to set up his Christmas base in an area of reasonably priced homes and lots.

A 5 acre lot nearby Santa in the North Pole is listed for sale for only $6,000 and the comments on the listing are short and sweet – Own a piece of Alaska!! 5 Acres near the Chena River, uncut, private and ready for you!!” The North Pole also offers a tiny home for the carb-conscious Santa with 1 bedroom and 196 sq ft of living space for only $33,800 on .31 acres.  I have a feeling it might be a bit tight for the average “husky build” Santa.   For a Santa wanting a more typical family home for Mrs. Claus, there is a 3 bedroom home with 2 bathrooms on .72 of an acre listed for only $124,500 so there would be room for all of the toys!  If Santa ever decides to relocate his elves from his private residence, he might want to consider investing in a  brand new four-plex with each unit offering 3 bedrooms/2 bathrooms each so there is plenty of rooms for the elves to enjoy.  The listing price of this multifamily opportunity is $655,000 and sits on 1.08 acres and your address will read as Tanada Road, North Pole, Alaska!

What does Santa do in his “off season”?  There is actually a marathon race called the North Pole  Marathon organized by Polar Running Adventures. Adventurous types may try searching for Santa Claus but it is highly unlikely you’ll be able to locate him, as blizzards are common in these areas. Some other interesting Santa facts that you might enjoy.  Did you know that Santa Claus is called “Black Peter” in Morocco?

In Russia, he is called “Grandfather Frost” while in England, he is commonly known as “Father Christmas”.  Whatever you name you call the jolly man with reindeer and elves this holiday season is up to you.  However, I hope that when he slides down your chimney, he doesn’t leave any coal in your stocking, and that you enjoy a wonderful and joyous time with your family.
